Part Number:68514411510 | Material Type:Iron | Bore Diameter String:0.625Inches | Outside Diameter:2.54 Inches | Item Length String:1.38 Inches |Style:0.188′ x 0.094′ Keyway | Maximum torque:1134 Inch Pounds This Lovejoyjaw coupling hub replaces hubs on Lovejoy L type jaw style flexible couplingsand is made of iron sintered with powdered metals for strength, durability, and corrosion resistance. This hub transfers shock and misalignment from theshaft to the center element of the coupling assembly for reduced wear on theshaft assembly. Lovejoy Jaw style couplings are suitable for use in variousindustrial power transmission applications such as compressors, blowers, pumps, conveyors, mixers, and gear boxes, among others.Flexible couplings areused to link two rotating shafts that are not aligned in order to transmit therotational power, known as torque, from one shaft to the other. Most flexiblecouplings consist of two hubs and a middle assembly; each hub attaches to ashaft while the middle assembly flexes between the hubs to accommodate themisalignment of the two shafts. Shaft misalignments are generally eitherparallel or angular and cause complications to transmitting rotational powerfrom one shaft to another in the form of stresses, loads, vibrations, andother forces, which vary from one type of misalignment to another. Flexiblecouplings are used in a broad range of applications, such as in motorvehicles, conveyors, escalators, agricultural, forestry and mining equipment, aeronautics, robotics and space exploration, among others.Lovejoy manufacturesflexible couplings, universal joints, variable speed drives and various othertransmission and mechanical power products. Their products meet the standardsof the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), the DeutschesInstitut fr Normung (DIN), the American National Standards Institute (ANSI),the American Gear Manufacturers Association (AGMA), the Society of AutomotiveEngineers (SAE) and Japanese Industrial Standards (JIS) for quality assurance. The company, founded in 1900, is based in Downers Grove, IL.
